Bob Evans Community Fundraiser

On December 4^th, one of our community partners, Bob Evans of The Villages, allowed us the opportunity to hold a community fundraiser at their restaurant. When the event flyer was brought in, the cashier stapled it to the check, and 15% of the proceeds were given to the Coalition.

While there, we were able to set up a table for donations and to hand out brochures. As people came in, we were able to raise awareness about our organization and our Just Match It program! Several retired teachers, former members of Head Start, and other involved community members were so happy to learn about the awesome impact that we are making here in Lake County. We were able to raise $180.00 in donations, and are waiting for the final tally from Bob Evans.

A special thank you goes out to the managers, Ralph and Kristy, and their fun staff for making this event possible. With your help, we were able to raise money to bring enough federal funds to cover the cost of a child’s education for one year! You guys are great!
