Over the past two weeks, the ELCLC staff and friends have
been diligently building a float for the Leesburg Christmas Parade. The theme
this year was “The Grinch.” After some late nights and a few staple gun
mishaps, the float was complete.

Last Saturday, Dec. 1
st, the City of Leesburg
hosted its annual Christmas Parade Festival. During the event, there were
musical performances, festive food, and carnival rides for children. The
highlight of the night, the parade, was themed “A Seussical Christmas.” At
7:00, twirlers, floats, dancers, marching bands, children, and adults began to
make their way around downtown. Our float debuted as #23 in the lineup.

We would like to thank our staff and family; friends; board
chairman and his wife; private sponsors; and Big Lots Leesburg, Home Depot Clermont, Walmart Leseburg, Lowes Lady Lake and Lowes Leesburg for creating
this fantastic float for this year’s parade!
